the Assembly Rooms at Bath
Wedding Photography at the Assembly Rooms at Bath
The Assembly Rooms at Bath is a unique wedding venue in the heart of the Roman city of Bath. The rooms were designed in 1796 by John Wood the Younger and were the height of fashion as a destination for Georgian society during the period when transport advances suddenly allowed more rapid movement around the country. As the Assembly Rooms are situated in the centre of Bath, all facilities for a great wedding are close at hand.
Apart from its status as a Natural Trust venue, the fantastic architecture and design, a unique history (including being bombed), this venue can also accommodate very large weddings which is somewhat of a rarity these days! The main ball room is truly stunning with classical Georgian decoration, colouring, design and Whitefriars chrystal chandaliers and has the advantage of being able to seat up to 500 people. There are the smaller tea rooms which can still accommodate up to 250 people and the Octagon room with a capacity for 120 people. Due to the size and beauty of the venue, many couples choose to host their entire event here including catering for an ecsquisite wedding breakfast!
