Well what can be said about Bovey Castle? This is without any doubt one of the premier wedding venues in Devon and the South West. Christian Michael Visited in July 2009 and having photographed some of the greatest locations in the UK were simply blown away by everything about Bovey, It is now firmly in our top ten.
Just for the record! We don’t get paid to say nice things about venues and the ones we don’t like (and there are a few!) we simply don’t comment on.
So what’s so special about this venue tucked away in the heart of the Devon countryside? Well it’s the whole package! The castle is a stunning building which is maintained to a very high standard both inside and out and with rooms of every size it caters for large and small weddings. It has balconies, archways, big sofa’s, long corridors and is a paradise for a Bovey Castle wedding photographer and any couple who find themselves getting married there. The grounds are simply breathtaking with fishing lakes, a golf course and secret corners that allow for privacy among the lush surrounding landscape. Couples getting married in the summer can do so outside in the most stunning surroundings which can be seen in the photos along side this review.
Just to add to the perfection of Bovey it has some of the friendliest, genuine staff we have ever come across. They not only look after their wedding parties but they extend their welcome to wedding photographers at Bovey castle as well! All in all (and you have probably got the impression by now) Christian Michael simply rate Bovey as a place we love to go and which gives us the chance to create some of the best wedding photography in Devon and Cornwall.
