Before we go any further, we must emphasize that this is no ordinary wedding venue, home to the Duke and Duchess of Somerset, this is one of the finest and most exclusive wedding venues in the country!
The history of Bradley House forms part of its character and this rich history is reflected both internally and externally, from the sweeping perfectly kept grounds, to the stunning staircase and the grand entrance, this is a house of character and distinction. Built in 1680, there is a fascinating history to the house, reflected in the vast array are historic artifacts and paintings that adorn every wall, nook and cranny. The house belongs to the historic Seymour family, most notably famous for Jane Seymour, wife of Henry VII and mother to Edward VI. A much larger house in its completion, three wings were demolished to leave the much smaller, but still very grand, house that exists today.
In terms of wedding photography, this is one of the finest locations that a wedding photographer could ever wish to capture. The external shots have a stunning background of elegant and perfectly kept lawns backed by trees that have been there for centuries. Internally, every room has a different character, surprisingly beautifully lit with ample light flowing naturally through huge windows, this allows a talented photographer to capture internal shots with greater definition than of many properties of the same period. Sweeping banisters that flow down grand oak staircases provide an un-missable opportunity for a stunning shot of any bride. The grooms will love the beautiful library, ancient books sit warmly by the side of a roaring fire in the grand fireplace with comfy sofas that provide a relaxing and enduring image.
