RACHEL AND LIANNE
WEDDING PROPOSAL, ST IVES CORNWALL
Love sees no race, religion, colour nor gender. Love is a feeling which grows from friendship and blossoms with each memory and moment that passes. Love grows a unique story of each and every relationship. When Lianne got in contact to say she was planning on proposing to her girlfriend on a trip to St Ives, we were SO excited to book the job.
I find it really puzzling, that in a modern, forward thinking Country such as the UK, that it took until 2014 to legalise same sex marriages. Prior to 2014, we would have a handful of same sex couples come through our books, and it would truly break our heart when a they would often ask “Are you okay that we are two wo/men?”.
Back to Rachel and Lianne!! Although I do feel the photo above of the seagulls needs a caption – leave one in the comments!
On a wet windy and miserable Summers afternoon, I met with Lianne on Porthmeor Beach whilst she set up some striking red letters spelling out “Marry Me”. I took position, whilst Lianne met Rachel and walked down the slip to her surprise!
Of course, Rachel said YES!!!!!
They celebrated with some bubbles on the beach, and then we took the chance for an impromptu engagement session.
We had such fun celebrating their engagement, and it was such a blessing and honour to be involved in such an intimate moment. I’m delighted that this evening Rachel and Lianne had secured their booking with myself for their upcoming wedding at Trevenna Barns.
Thank you so much ladies. I can’t wait to work with you both again soon! x
