Woodbury Park near Exeter in Devon is a fantastic location for a high quality wedding with a sporting emphasis. Originally developed by the racing driver, Nigel Mansell, Woodbury has a fantastic 18 hole golf course that oftens stages leading European golf events and has all of the facilities required for a large and elegant wedding. With a team of experienced staff including a dedicated wedding co-ordinator, Woodbury Park has the capability to satisfy virtually all of the requirements to host a large wedding including ample accomodation on site. The Greg Norman Suite is a perfect location for a wedding breakfast and celebration for large events, supported by fantastic cuisine and very helpful staff that are always on hand to accomodate your every need.
The staff at Woodbury Park are incredibly helpful and even provide a golf buggy for you so that you can tour the grounds and capture some fantasic pictures, an element that is incredibly helpful for any Woodbury Park wedding photographer. The Oaks rooms and the Acorns rooms reflect the sizes of the different courses, with the oaks being larger accomodating up to 70 guests and the acorns can be used for really intimate weddings of up to 12 guests. On site, there is also a fantastic swimming pool with sauna and jacuzzi, tennis courts and a squash court and a fully equipped gym. This venue is a fantastic all in one complex for larger weddings with guests coming from far and wide as the hotel has 56 rooms and there are an additional 5 lodges in the grounds ensuring that the majority of your guests can remain on site for the full extent of your wedding celebrations.
As a regular wedding photographer at Woodbury Park, we always enjoy capturing wedding photographs of Woodbury as the park changes with the seasons. From the flowering spring to the autumn leaves, the backdrops available for extrenal wedding photography at Woodbury Park are too numerous to mention. The bride and groom can travel anywhere in the park, events permitting, for their wedding pictures allowing a huge array of different backdrops to be captured. Internally, this is a modern contemporary venue reflecting the sporting aspect and offering some great backdrops, especially the red carpet walkway and the fantastic private terrace overlooking a small par 3!
